Ashby + Headstarter: Integration Support

Use this guide to set up and use the Headstarter integration inside Ashby.

    Enable the Integration

    • In Ashby, navigate to Settings → Integrations.
    • Find and select Headstarter from the list of available integrations.
    • Click Enable Integration.

    Connect Your Headstarter Account

    • Enter the API key provided by Headstarter (unique to your company).
    • Save your changes.

    Using the Integration

    • When creating or editing a job, navigate to the Interview Plan.
    • Add a new stage and select Assessment.
    • From the list of assessment providers, choose Headstarter.
    • Pick the custom work trial configured for your company (e.g., “YOUR_COMPANY_NAME Interview Challenge”).

    Candidate Experience

    • Candidates will receive an email invitation with a secure link to their Headstarter work trial.
    • They’ll complete system design and coding tasks in a collaborative, AI-powered environment.

    Reviewing Results

    • Once the candidate finishes, results will automatically appear in the candidate’s profile in Ashby.
    • Recruiters can review architecture diagrams, code diffs, collaboration transcripts with the AI agent, and auto-generated scores.
